Insurance coverage for NST and BPP?

My insurance runs July-June.  When I delivered last July, I hit my max out of pocket really fast and haven't paid a dime for this pregnancy except my initial copay which has been super nice. My insurance is 80% coverage.

I was just wondering what I should expect to pay for NST or BPP.  My OB/Peri/MFM are insisting upon them so will that make a difference?

    I just got a statemtent for what they covered from my insurance company.  It was about my last peri visit (I saw the peri, had an NST, and had a BPP all of which my peri insists on (NSTs twice a week BPP every 4)).  My insurance runs differently (January to December) so all I had was a copay BUT the insurance company listed the amount thye were billed (all of which they covered) and the NST was 155 and BPP 450.  All I paid was the copay for the specialist (40). Now your insurance may give you a discount on these amounts based on whether or not your peri is in network.  I think if I had to still meet my deductable I would have been billed like 100 for the NST and like 200 or so for the BPP AFTER my insurance discounted the services for using an in-network provider.

    My hospital stopped taking my insurance June 1st and my OB wanted me to have NST's from 32 weeks to delivery.  It would have cost me $300 per NST - so for 8 weeks it would have cost me $2400. I'm in NYC so everything is more expensive here so I'm sure you'll get other answers that are lower.  In the end, I was very fortunate- the hospital agreed to take my insurance (because I'm sooo high risk).

    3 IUI's and 2 IVF's later- Brady arrived. Born at 36 weeks after PUPPS and pre-e/HELLP.
    IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again

    my doctor has ordered weekly BPP's and NST's i havent gotten any NST bills yet but the BPPs are running in the 3-400 range are the NSTs in your OB's office or at the hospital? if they are at the office they may be part of the visit
