I liked one of the announcements that Leah posted so much that I poached it. Embarrassed

We still hadn't ordered the other announcements that I did, so this afternoon I whipped up these in Photoshop - each boy will be on one side of the card (yes I know this means people can't stick it on their fridge or wherever and see both kids at one time, but honestly I doubt that many people would do that anyway):

(ETA: I don't know why the images look so green here - they don't in my siggy or in the pics that I uploaded to VistaPrint. *shrug*)

I'm excited because these are possibly my favorite photos of the boys (I like both the photos and the seventies style post-processing), and are the images I really wanted to use on the announcements - I just couldn't figure out a design that I liked that they worked with.

Leah, I hope you don't mind that I stole one of your announcement designs!

Wow, you copied the design really well and it looks great! I love those pics of your boys--sooo cute!!

Hm, now that you mention it, it *is* green compared to your siggy. Does it look green on your computer too or is it just when you PIP it here?

It looked fine in Photoshop, and then green when I opened it with a regular image viewer (irfanview). I finally figured out why though - the color mode is CMYK for VistaPrint's printing processes, and my browser (and irfanview) get all cranky and confused when images aren't in RGB. So it should still look fine when it prints. Cool

I love it! And I don't mind at all. They look great, and I love the idea of putting one on each side. And these are such adorable photos, too, and they work very well for this design. It's such a simple, but striking design.

We still haven't chosen a design yet....we keep going back and forth!

Oooooh! I liked the ones you made beforehand! These are nice too. Can't frame them tho unless you have two... My MIL would want another one so she could frame. And my parents and sisters too.

Boo! I cannot see the pics you PIP...I am sure it's cute! I had a double sided announcement too...haven't seen it on anyone's fridge though since we sent them all out of state!

totally cute! we had a double sided announcement too and just gave 2 to the families members who would want to frame/display them

This is what we'll do for the people who want two - I doubt it will be many people beyond parents and grandparents. Smile

haha. just noticed my typo. meant to say "family members" obviously... but yeah, wasn't much beyond the parents and grandparents who wanted to frame it

This! I'm that girl that puts baby announcements on my fridge, and birthday invites and random other pictures that people send I still have my friend's daughter's first birthday announcement/invite on my fridge because she's darling

But then again, I would call you and ask you if I could have a second one so I could have them both up!
