Major side pain / ache?

Yesterday I had a major pain on my left hand side, definitely not my ute, but it freaked me out.  I was in the bathroom yesterday and getting ready to pull down my skirt to sit down and I got a terrible pain in my left side - it literally felt like someone slugged me in my side.  It almost brought me to my knees.  It was all I could do to get my skirt down to keep from peeing my pants!  Once I sat down the pain was still there but not nearly as bad - I called DH to help me up from the toilet and by then I had broken out into a cold sweat (I think it really freaked me out).  He helped me lay down on my right side and rubbed my left for me and brought me some water.  The pain went away within a few minutes, but it felt achy for the rest of the day.  It felt like I needed to stretch it out or something. 

I looked it up in WTEWYE and found something similar in earlier months, but nothing really on point.  I am feeling fine today, but thought it was pretty weird.  No nasuea, fever or anything like that accompanying it and LO is moving just as much as normal, but still kind of freaky.  Anyone else experience anything like this?

    I've had sharp pains on both sides of my abdomen, occasionally. Usually when I am on a long walk with the dog. It feels like when I would accidentally exercise too soon after eating pre-pregnancy. I wasn't too worried, because it usually goes away pretty quickly or if I sit down and rest. I asked my MW and she said it's normal and probably my uterus/ligaments stretching. She said to make sure to drink lots of water and not get dehydrated, as well.

    I had some really sharp pains this morning in my lower left side. It was really painful. I took some tylenol, drank a huge glass of water and laid down to rest. It went away after awhile and hasn't come back. I don't know what caused it? I'm thinking just the normal uterus or ligaments stretching.

    I'm not going to worry about it unless it comes back again really bad! Baby has been active and I've had no other symptoms today.

    Don't know if that helps at all ..
