Progesterone - WWYD?

I am supposed to start using progesterone 3DPO. My RE said CD 20 based on my 29-30 day cycles, and he actually said "no" when I asked if I should chart. Well, FF gave me dotted CH this morning, indicating I am 3DPO today (CD18). But I think I might have O'd yesterday, or maybe not yet at all, as my two highest temps were after nights of relatively heavy drinking, and my "positive" OPK was pretty questionable and I just wanted to see what FF would do with it if it were positive. This is my first time charting, and I appear to be an epic failure.

So, if you were me, would you (a) go ahead and start taking progesterone today, even though it might suppress O if it hasn't happened already, (b) wait another couple of days to confirm, or (c) call the RE tomorrow and ask him? Any idea how much harm would a delay of a couple days do?

I would wait a couple of days because I think once you have a couple more days of high temps you are going to get solid crosshairs, especially with your + opk. My RE and OB say there isn't a huge difference when you take it(meaning 3dpo or right at bfp) if you don't have a huge diffency.
