any store brand caesar is fine and most if not all restaurants use bottled (fine as well). Only avoid if they are making it in front of you with raw egg.

Personally, I'd go for it. Especially at a nice restaurant. If you're not comfortable, you can always get a jar kind and rock the caesar salad at home only.
I think the best thing to do with all the millions of things that may or may not be perfectly safe, is to just do whatever feels comfortable for you at the time.

I was surprised to hear my favorite lunch place (just a sandwich shop) makes their own Caesar, with raw eggs. I had just assumed they used bottled. So it may be worth asking.
I'm a chef and have made countless Caesar salads with house made dressing...there is little to no chance of getting sick from it when it's fresh..there is acid in the dressing as well that helps kill bacteria and the risk of Salmonella from raw egg is very small. The number one cause of it is from cross contamination from raw chicken on to things like veggies, and you are more likely to get food poising from your own home then a restaurant.
The health board couldn't allow it if it was dangerous.

I was so excited to have a Caesar Salad at Panera but figured I should ask first and it turns out they have raw egg in their dressing
