I am not trying to be one of the "those" parents but I am pretty convinced DD is saying "dog" and "cat." She will look at the dog (or cat) point at it and say "dog" (or cat.) This has been going on for about two weeks and I have been dismissing it as flukes but it is pretty clear and other people have heard it. Her nanny even told me about her saying "dog" to her dog before I even told the nanny that we have been noticing it at our house.
DS didn't even really start talking until he was after 1, so this is throwing me for a bit of a loop. Is this even possible to start saying real words at 9 months? I am almost embarassed to even tell people because I don't want to sound like one of those annoying mothers who thinks everything their child does is brillant.
Re: I think my 9 month old is talking
my DS was saying "dah" to our dog purposefully around 8.5 months. now he says "dehyyy" for "doggie." he hasn't seen a cat.
he also said "hi, dada" around 9 months. i think it's possible!
DS calls me "Mama" and calls DH "Blahblah". It's hilarious.
LOL, this!!
