PSA ~ Bounce house / Jumpers

We went to a B-day party that had a jumper.  The Mom accidently hit the plug that had the jumper attached & didn't realize it.  I heard the jumper stop running & it started colapsing with kids inside it.  I ran over & was trying to hold the part up where the kids could get out.  They all got out except my DD & the Dad jumped back in and grabbed her & fell out of the jumper on his back holding my DD on his belling screaming/crying.  Once someone figured out that it was the plug they plugged it back in & everything was fine.

From now on if I am at a party I will pay attention to where the thing is plugged in just in case this ever happens again.  It only takes seconds for the whole thing to come down once you unplug it, kids could have suffocated in there.

Very scary for me & DD

Re: PSA ~ Bounce house / Jumpers

  • That is a good PSA. There are other issues with bounce houses too - not too many kids, making sure little kids aren't by big kigs, making sure kids jump and land appropriately, and that the house is tethered safely.
