What's with all the code initials?

in 2nd Trimester
Can't we just say husband or baby instead of DD, DH, LO.... can someone identify these for me? I have no idea what some of them stand for still. This could be a pregnancy rant...

    There's a glossery near the bottom left hand side of the page. They are a little confusing sometimes but get easier with practice.

    You don't have to use the abbreviations. There's a glossary on the bottom left of the page if you don't know what something means.

    On the left hand side, under where it says My Boards, there is a Bump Glossary.

    DH= Dear Husband

    DD= Dear daughter or dirty delete, depending on context

    DS= Dear son

    LO = Little One...

    They are just a lot easier to use, because otherwise you would have to say my son, my husband, etc.

    I partially agree because some codes I don't understand & it took me forever understanding what someone is writing. Its annoying!

    I don't use abbreviations either....even when texting. I have a thing about words and grammar. If I don't understand a post with abbreviations, I usually just treat it like a foreign language...say no comprende and skip it.

    Right, since when is it wrong for others to vent frustrations & to be frustrated with the codes. Husbands in the Army so I get it but sometimes it does get annoying I'll agree with her there.

    idk here's an idea, lurk before you speak.  If abbreviations bother you then write out the words...no one give a crap what you do in your own posts.  And um it's not b*tchiness, it's called being blunt and honest.
