How far in advance did you start planning your LO's 1st Birthday?

Like really hardcore planning?

I'm starting now with 4 months left until her birthday.  I'm a huge planner and I want to make sure I can find all that I need.

    We set the date about 4 months out, but that was because the party was going to be on Easter weekend and most of the family had to travel form out of town.

    As far as hardcore planning, I'd say 6 weeks to a month ahead of time.

    I decided on the location and date a few months out.  I made the invitations pretty early, but other than that did everything in the last two weeks.

    Hmm maybe I have a good start then...I have the date and place and theme.  I don't really want to get into the major little details just yet because I might find something I like better than something I already got later on, but I am thinking about the invites early.

    I decided on the themes several months in advance and bought stuff all along, but really started hardcore planning about a month beforehand.

    This is me. I started saving ideas and pictures at about 6 months. I've known all along what I wanted, now I'm just putting everything together. :o)

    I starting thinking about it at 9 months, that's when came up with the theme.  At 10 months I found the invite and started making a list of all the things I want to do/need and right now I'm pricing an editing as I see fit.  I also just finalized the date last week.

    I'll send out invites a month ahead and work from there.  We've always known it'd be at our house.  I'm going to try and gather things from now till the party so that the cost will be spread out.
