Temper Tantrums . .

how do you handle them, because I don't think i'm doing a great job at it. ?I say no, but that adds the screaming on top of it or throwing herself on the ground. ?LOL!

Any advice would be great!

TIA!?

Re: Temper Tantrums . .

  • I just ignore DS when he has one.  He just throws himself on the floor and I walk away.  Your not going to get anything with me that way.

i walk away and she does stop . ?but tonight at dinner. . i ignored her and she stopped and when I went back to feeding her, she started again . .
  • I don't let her get a reaction from me for it. I ignore it at home. If it's in public, I either try to distract her with something else or we leave.
  • I've been trying to redirect the situation depending on what it is...it's much more tolerable than when my 4 year old has a melt down though:)
  • Depends on where we are. But if he throws one at home or a friends house, I tell him no and walk away.
  • I bet your baby's tantrums are more 'advanced' than mine might be at this point, being 3mos older and all, but I figure I'll always ignore them and walk away if they tend to linger.

I say no to whatever she was doing that was inappropriate/unsafe/whatever but I don't think I'd say no to the actual tantrum.
