We are getting out of town for a few days before I go back to work. We will be traveling by car and staying in a hotel for 3 days. Any suggestions on what to pack for our 8 week old. She is breast fed but we supplement with formula. Here is my list so far
bottles, clothes, formula, bibs, pack and play, stroller.
Am I missing anything glaring here? Any good tips?
Re: Traveling with 8 week old
I grouped things by category when we traveled with him the first time:
Diapers + wipes + 2 changing pads + ointment + hand sanitizer + Tylenol + gas drops + thermometer + shampoo, lotion, powder + 2 washcloths + diaper disposal bags
Clothes + onesies + pjs/SwaddleMe + blankets + socks + bibs + burp cloths + hat + jacket (plan for 2 outfits per day so you have extra JIC)
Formula + bottles + bottle brush + dish soap + bottled water in case the tap where you're going isn't good
Toys + books + bouncer + playmat (or whatever she likes as a place to be set down)
Stroller + carseat (duh) + PnP + Bjorn or Moby
Extra: Monitor, camera

Great tiem to travel.. they are so portable at that age.
?
When I pack, I usually go through a normal day at home/out in my head and pack accordingly for example, when we get up I get a bottle so I pack everything related to bottle ( formula, bottle brush, sterilizer, liner for bottle etc), then change his diaper (pack everything to change diapers.. diapers, wipes, ointment, change pad etc) then get dressed ... you see what I mean? That way, I don't forget anything
?
Have fun:)?
