I am really bad at eating lots of carbs and little protein. Yes, I know this is bad. I am 23 weeks along and want to make the last half of this pregnancy healthier than the first. So I am asking " What are your favorite lean protein snacks"?
Hard boiled eggs, greek yogurt or even just regular yogurt, skim milk, protein bars, protein drink mixes, anything that can help hold me over for a while. For breakfast I have been drinking skim milk with instant breakfast for some extra protein.

I love one of the South Beach diet bars. This particular was has plenty of protein and fiber (which really comes in handy!). It has a chocolate top with coconut. Great on-the-go snack.
Otherwise, I like my blueberry Oikos greek yogurt. The 5.3 oz container has 13 grams of protein, no fat and is relatively low on sugar compared to others:
Almonds and avacado. Up until last week when I started maternity leave I had a peanut butter and banana sandwich on high protein wheat bread for lunch everyday.
A few of my faves include string cheese, peanut butter on granny smith apple slices, greek yogurt with fruit and granola or the Stonyfield farms yogurt smoothies, Luna bars, sliced avocado and tomatoes, oatmeal with walnuts or almonds.
