Pregnant after IF

iPhone pregnancy/baby apps?

Anyone using something they particularly like?  I downloaded the (free) What to Expect When You're Expecting app.  I like that it has a wk/day tracker and a photo section.  I've been pretty good about taking a weekly shot so it's interesting to flip back thru them and see how my belly has grown.

Is anyone using one of the contraction counters/timers?  Or planning on buying one of the baby tracking apps for feedings, diaper changes, etc (kinda like an Itzbeen)?

I have labor mate to track my contractions and love it.  It stores all of your data, picks right back up where you left off, and will spit out trends, average length between contractions, and average length of contraction.  I think it was $0.99 - well worth it to me.

I also have iPregnancy and use that to track all of my appointments, weight gain, fetal heart rate, and BP.  I like it but wish it wasn't so built around weight - every update for a while was "you are sucking at gaining weight" and now that my gaining is picking up it is all "you need to slow your gain down".  It is all BMI driven so my interval (averaging 2.5 lbs a week right now) is on the high end but, my total gain is well within range (actually still a bit low for my pre-pregnancy BMI).

I haven't looked at baby apps just yet but know I want one!

Labor Mate sounds perfect!  That's exactly what I was hoping to find.

As for the baby app... I was eyeing Total Baby.  It's $4.99 but the reviews seem much more positive than those for similar (and cheaper) apps.

  • I have ipregnancy as well, and agree with pp. I also have one called "pregnancy" that's ok, I like that you can look up baby names and keep a list of your favorites. I don't know if I'd recommend it though because I think I paid a few dollars for it. My favorite is The What to Expect one.
