I need a snappy (yet sensitive) retort...

Ok Ladies! I know that y'all can help me come up with a response that will get the point across to my father-in-law without damaging his delicate feelings. I am soooo sick of his "pet" name for Cam but I am not sure how to tell him w/out him pouting. He calls Cam....wait for it....STINKY POSSUM. WTH?!? I don't know why but it drives me absolutly bonkers. How would you tell him (nicely) to choose a new name? TIA!

 For the record, he is a wonderful grandfather but I want to get rid of this nickname before it follows Cam for the rest of his life. =P

    Just tell him how you feel. I would not want a kid nicknamed after roadkill either (they smell worst when squashed, poor things.)

    FIL calls DH's sister Fart Blossom.  She's now 28 and he still calls her that!  It could be worse!
