Romantic getaways for Babymoon (driving distance from Cincy)

Any suggestions for a weekend romantic trip that is within 5 hours driving distance to Cincinnati?

  • I'm going to watch this since DH and I haven't been on a date let alone a break together since DS2 arrived 14 months ago!

  • DH and I went to Hocking Hills for a long weekend.  I was still small so I didn't mind hiking.  But it was beautiful!

  • Hocking Hills is secluded and relaxing.  Get a cabin for privacy. Sandusky or Port Clinton, OH...for the beautiful Lake Erie experience. Like a beach in a lake.  Lots to do in the immediate area.   Indianapolis has some fabulous hotels and a very clean city.  Also, Murphin Ridge Inn in West Union OH is absolutely fantastic for a secluded getaway.  They have amazing food, and it is so quiet and serene.  No TVs.  Yay!  Gatlinburg is within your driving distance.  Get a cabin, and forego the busy hotel scene there.  It is so relaxing.  Little walking, sitting in nature, and some great shopping nearby.  Lots of toursity places as well.  Most cabin rentals will add in romantic extras if you order them.   Brown County Indiana is absolutely beautiful, and nearby Nashville IN is a lot like a small Gatlinburg.  Columbus has lots of things to do by day and nice downtown hotels.  Easton is a nice area to stay there as well. Shopping right across the street in most cases.  Have fun!  Let us know where you decide to go.

  • I love Chicago which is an easy 5 hour drive.  We went there last year for our anniversary and had a great time!
