The menu for this week is:
SUNDAY: Meatloaf, with mashed potatoes (me) and alfredo noodles (DH) and a salad.
Next week's menu is:
MONDAY: Pork chops with cheesy potatoes and a salad
TUESDAY: Steak fajitas (DH), grilled salmon (me) with a salad
WEDNESDAY: Taco pie!
THURSDAY: Steak, baked potato and salad (DH), grilled chicken salad (me)
FRIDAY: Hamburgers on the grill, macaroni salad and corn on the cob
SATURDAY: Breakfast for supper: Eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and biscuits
SUNDAY: Roast in the crockpot with carrots and potatoes
As you can see, DH and I sometimes eat different things. I'm trying to cut out some of the red meat from my diet, but I can't get DH on board. Also, what I make depends on if I'm working.
Re: Menu ladies! Let's get this started :)
Ahhh haha this is such an awful week for me to do this considering DH will be eating dinner at camp Sunday-Wednesday and I'm still on a very restricted post-surgery diet. So, tonight-Wednesday night I'll be having things like baked sweet potatoes, soup, rice and chicken, smoothies...nothing too exciting.
Thursday night we are having whole wheat pasta in a fresh tomato garlic sauce with grilled chicken (spicy chicken for DH, plain for me).
Friday we are having grilled lemon parsley shrimp, coconut rice and side salads.
Saturday night we are having date night.
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
Here is our tentative list...
Sunday - Turkey Burger with garlic parmesan fries
Monday - Chicken wings marinated in a soy sauce/brown sugar type mixture with breaded zucchini chips
Tuesday - Stuffed chicken breasts with green beans
Wednesday - Beef Stew
Thursday will be my grocery shopping day!
I'd love that recipe for the garlic parmesan fries!
Oh, they're good. And I can justify having them if I'm having turkey burgers, right?
I just make fries in the oven (just like Ore Ida fries) and combine a little bit of melted butter with chopped garlic, salt, and pepper. Sometimes I've put dill in there too, depending on the mood. I put the fries and the butter mixture in a bigger bowl and shake it around, and then I sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top. It's from one of my Rachael Ray cookbooks... I have tried it without the butter too, but the garlic doesn't distribute throughout as well. Gotta love Rachael and her disconcern for clogging up my arteries... but every once in a while isn't going to hurt anything!
In no particular order:
hamburgers on the grill, fries
lasagna and garlic bread
steaks on the grill, corn on the cob and baked potatoes
pork chops, mac & cheese (for H) and green beans (for me)
only 4 meals b/c H is working 2 nights and then I'll be out with a friend. Nothing too exciting planned for this week!
Me: PCOS/Amenorrhea DH: Azoospermia due to Y Chromosome Micro Deletion IVF w/ ICSI on hold until further notice

what's in taco pie? it sounds yummy!
OMG! Are you Filipino? I haven't had real chicken adobo since my Navy days. I have a good recipe from Epicurus, but it is missing something. I would be ever so grateful for any tips.
Great idea.. i love to get different ideas of what people are cooking..
Chinese tonight.

Mon & thurs i sleep out at my sis to babysit the next day.. so DH is on his own.. think he's having linguica sandwich on monday & pasta on thursday eve..

Taco pie is AMAZING! You use a glass pie pan and put biscuits in the bottom, all mushed down. Then you fill with taco meat, top with cheese and bake.
