DS is having issues with his CDs...advice?

This might be TMI for some. Here's the story...we've used BG AIO's on DS since he was 6 weeks old. He's now 20 months. We've been battling a major redness/sensitivity issue on his little member for a while now. Specifically on his scrotum. We've tried stripping the diapers, diaper cream, etc... and it will get better for a while, and then become an issue again. The Weleda diaper cream seems to keep it at bay, but if we don't stay consistent he has problems again.

We can't decide if it's a diaper problem, a reaction to his own urine (seems to be worse after the overnight), chafing, or maybe a sudden issue with the microfiber.

Advice? Thoughts? Thanks!!!

    Have you tried stripping them or washing/soaking them w/ vinegar?

    Yes. We have stripped them when they start to get stinky, and do a vinegar rinse about once a week...

    Sounds like he may have a little bit of a yeast infection there, My DS had the same issue on and off with disposables,but to help we used Lotrimin cream on it, and that took care of it, but it would come back on and off . We even took him to the pedi for it, but Lotrimin was what he suggested , but we were already doing that.   

     

    ETA: don't think Lotrimin is CD safe.
