can i just say that i hate exercise. if there was a contest to gain weight, i would totally compete cause i can give people a run for their money. but man, give me a goal to lose weight and i fail. i gained 30 lbs with my pregnancy and right after delivery i lost about 15 lbs. the only problem was that i didn't have any babies to bring home so i ate my sorrows away and gained 5 more lbs. but for the past month or so i've been trying to lose weight and have been doing a sort of weight watchers eating plan with lots of cheating lol. and doing leslie sansone walking videos and she is annoying the crap out of me!! i know exercising and weight loss will help me get healthier for conceiving but it totally sucks!!
sorry for the rant. i just hate sweating and exerting myself!! i'm a lazy a$$!!
Re: exercise
You need to find something you like!
I hate "boot camp" style exercising. I love going for loooong, sloooow runs. I find it relaxing and therapeutic, but I know I get a great workout. I also like yoga and I like swimming.
Do something that doesn't *feel* like exercise, kwim?
Ha! I just have to say that I agree with you that Leslie Sansone is super annoying. :-) I just tried out one of her videos on demand on comcast and found her very irritating.
If you're looking to walk, maybe just get some books on tape and walk outside. It's much less annoying. GL!
m/c 6/10
So I'm sorta the opposite in that I LOVE exercise! Literally, LOVE it! I'm a complete grump when I can't. but I also LOVE to eat. I've lost 19lbs now since my m/c on April 1. I told myself I wanted to be healthier physically for the next pregnancy. I would like to lose 5-10 more. But we'll see. I love weight watchers, but if you're having trouble sticking exactly to it, check out the Wendi Plan. https://www.angelfire.com/crazy4/ahealthylifestyle/WendiePlan.html It's similar to WW, but has some alternatives so it gives you days to splurge, which is nice.
I agree with PP that you must find something you really like to do. I love running especially. I am not a fan of going to a gym or group exercise classes. I'll do them, but definitely not something I could see myself doing regularly. i've also recently started P90X. It's a butt-kicker. And if you don't like to sweat, I don't recommend it. ;-) But just keep looking, don't give up on yourself! You can do it!!!!!
