The things we do for our LOs...

I am currently sitting in our car with my DD sleeping in her carseat... we are supposed to be outside at my husband's cousin's wedding, but DD fell asleep on the way, so I volunteered to stay with her.  Everyone else is out socializing and enjoying the wedding...

Just sitting here... and loving it.

She is so worth the sacrifice and worth everything!

(Note: DH is going to bring me something to eat soon).

Anyone else in this boat before?? :)

  • I hope that she wakes up soon so that you can go and socialize and enjoy the wedding! I have done the same thing (not at a wedding). Instead of your DH bringing you food could he come and trade off with you and let you go eat and socialize?

Yea, he offered to trade, but the thing is that this is his very extended family and I don't know a ton of them... I'd be more comfortable if he were with me to socialize...

but I am thinking about waking DD up soon... then she will still be able to go to bed at a decent time tonight.

  • yep, I've done it. Just so lo can get his nap in. I agree, the things we do for our LO. Good thing your getting food though!

  • lol...I have done exactly the same thing at a wedding so that LO could get a nap and we could enjoy the evening.  DH eventually brought out a couple of glasses of wine that we drank together in the car :)

I hope you enjoy the rest of your night!

  • I've done it...not for a wedding, but just on normal days sometimes!  I keep a book in the car just in case.  Dh and I have actually switched off going shopping when this happens (I shop first, come out and sit while he goes it).  I highly value sleep and I know my ds isn't great at it!
