Pregnant after a Loss

Watching a rerun of King of Queens

I have never watched this show and for some reason I put it on. It's an episode about the main characters going through a miscarriage. I am bawling.

I have never seen a show cover this topic (although I do know that Grey's Anatomy had one in the last episode).

I guess there was a reason I decided to keep this show on. I spent last night crying about how I won't be a good enough mother. Now I remember what it felt like to know I wasn't going to be a mother.

  • Sex and The City... Charlotte goes through infertility and a miscarriage... haven't rewatched that part since my m/c but thinking it wouldn't be pretty...

  • I was just watching the same show.  It gave my chills and was so sad.

  • I remember the infertility but completely forgot about the m/c.

I when we were ttc I couldn't watch any shows with a pg, which cut out shows I really liked this past year (Glee, The Office).

It's totally different to see it acted out on a screen when you are actually going through it.

  • I've seen that episode! Isn't it funny how sometimes you find just the right show to watch (or right book to read, person to talk to, etc.) to remind you of something important? Sometimes I worry about my ability to handle two children so it can be good to remember how heartsick I was when trying after the loss. I also like to remember how scared I was before DS was born and how I rose to the occasion.
