Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Acne after miscarriage

My skin is looking soooo bad...big, cystic pimples on my chin that won't go away! One fades and two more pop up! I'm using the Wexler Skin Care system and Acne Free...What else can I do? The M/C was two months ago...I just want to feel pretty again...

Re: Acne after miscarriage

  • This happened to me too...it's hormones. Wash your face religiously, sleep on clean pillowcases, and get some kind of spot treatment perhaps. I hope it gets better for you, I know mine was like that after my m/c.

  • I had a late loss, but am noticing that my acne is coming back.

  • *raises hand* yep...I'm having the same experience. Doc said it was hormones. Scrub my face everyday and use Neutrogena facewash that is for night time. Its purple and is soothing.
  • Mine isn't really bad, but I have pimples that KEEP popping up in the same two spots (the bridge of my nose and on the right side of my chin). It's frustrating, because it'll finally clear up, and then three days later another will be right there!

  • I was wondering about this as well.  I am currently going through my miscarriage and it has started popping up all over my face the past few days and it's not wanted!
So excited for our little blessing:)

3 months out for me and my skin, specifically my chin, is a nightmare.  I use a face mask every night and it still comes back.  It's driving me nuts too.

Mine are super painful too! Looks like all of us should start a chin pimple club!

  • Of all the hormonal side effects that isn't the one that has been the worst for me. When I do break out I found the fastest way to clear it up is to wipe my face down with rubbing alcohol everyday. It dries out your skin obviously, so I'll use  a unscented face lotion to re-moisturize without making the pimples worse. I have pretty good luck that way!

  • I am with you guys! I found one on my back today taking off my shirt for the shower, I thought I had a bruise or something it was so painful to the touch and its so swollen and gross looking. And it of couse has to be able to be seen out of any cute tank top.

I can't wait for all the reminders of my loss to be gone..it seems never ending!

  • I'm on this list too. I'm using my system that normally works well and I still have unusually bad zits and cystic acne popping up in places I normally don't get it :(

  • I miscarried SIX MONTHS ago and my skin still had not 'regulated', so I finally asked my regular Dr. about it. He prescribed me Clindamycin lotion, which is a topic antibiotic that is safe for ttc/pregnancy. My skin isn't 100%, but it got MUCH better with the use of the Clindamycin.
