Outgrown clothes?

What do you do with your little one's clothes that they have outgrown? Do you keep them 'just incase' you need them for the next baby? Or sell them on CL or Ebay? Or just give them away?

I'm curious to see what everyone does as I've been holding onto alot of Coop's clothes but there are just so many!!!! I've given some away that I'm not too attatched too but I think I may need to let go soon, as they take up so much room!

Re: Outgrown clothes?

  • New mom here, but I plan on saving them all for our next baby (if we have a boy next, then I'll figure out what to do with the girly ones at that point).  I will organize them by size into plastic totes and then store them in the attic (will wash them before using for another baby of course).

  • I am keeping most of Collin's until we know what we're having next time.  I have them stored by size in tubs. However, anything I don't like or was kind of iffy on to begin with goes into a pile and when the pile is big enough, I bag it up and take it to the charity thrift store.

  • I have them all  in our garage in bins it is amazing she is only 2 1/2 and I have 4 bins full of clothes. Anyway I am saving them for baby #2 if Baby # 2 is a boy then I plan to take them to the 2 local consingment shops here in town, and whatever I can't sell . then I will give away to other moms who may need them.

  • We don't have the room to save everything, so I save only the good stuff.  Anything I paid a decent amount for, more of the wardrobe pieces like jackets, sweaters, jeans.  Stuff like onesies, socks, cheap tshirts and such we donate and expect to buy for our next kiddo.
