Our DS is swaddled in a Swaddle Me and sleeps in his crib for 10-12 hours at night, but for naps, he's still in his swing. We've just never tried to put him anywhere else since that's what worked when we first brought him home. He will often nap for 3+ hours in the swing daily. I'm not sure whether to try to put him in his crib for naps, or keep doing this. Where do your DC's nap? And he is not on a nap schedule of any kind, he just drops off to sleep when he is tired. I wonder if I should try to change this. Anyways, if you have a 2+ month baby, how and where do they nap? Do they have set nap times?

Re: 2+ month babies: Where to nap? Schedule?
No set naps... not really necessary until they're about 4 months old. ?DS tends to take a morning nap, then a long noon nap (I just put him down when I put DD down, so they sleep at the same time and I get my sanity back for the afternoon) and then one or two smaller naps in the afternoon. ?Nothing set though... it just sort of happened.
?
DS sleeps in his crib for everything, unless he crashes in the car... then I just leave him in his carseat, but I put the carseat in his crib because its quiet and darker in there than the rest of the house.
?
I had DD sleep in her bouncy seat for about 4 months, except for at night. ?

?You're probably fine if he keeps napping in the swing for a little bit, but you could try putting him the crib when he's drowsy. ?Its not like he's going to go to college napping in a swing.?
Also jealous! First off, DD can't fall asleep on her own anywhere! Not in the swing, car, anywhere. She has to be swaddled and rocked/patted etc, and its a huge ordeal. Secondly, she will rarely allow herself to be put down anywhere to nap, and if she does, she typically wakes up after about 20 minutes, more tired than before, and not wanting to fall back asleep.
Needless to say, be glad he naps! But I would just go ahead and try the crib one time, and it may just work. If not, no harm, just try again next week.
