Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Have you tossed your changing table?

LO's are getting the point where they don't fit on it anymore.

Did you still keep yours up? For storage?

I have been changing them on the floor in the afternoons, but they take off with no diaper, one crawls over and stares then TRIES to put their finger where they don't belong (seeing me put on diaper cream)

stopped using it the day audrey rolled off while the nanny was watching her Sad and that was i guess 4 mos ago.  we use it as a dresser/storage b/c it has a couple drawers, and room for baskets w/their diapers.

your diaper changing scenario is similar to mine!  they are always trying escape, and to get into each other's business, or dirty diapers.

  • Still using mine, it is a changing pad on top of DS's dresser.  Diaper changes without it are a battle, DS trys to run away if he isn't on a table.  I am pretty sure I will use it until he is potty trained.  He is getting alittle long for it, but I can't imagine he will get to tall before we are done using it.
  • Instead of a changing table, we have an oversized ottoman that matches our living room set.  Before we lived in our current house, we had no room for it in our living room, so we put it in DD's room to use as a changing table.  Anyway, we have all her lotions and hair stuff sitting on her window sill, with the ottoman under it.  DD can now climb onto the ottoman....I figured this out as she brought me all her lotions one day!  I'm thinking it's time to retire the ottoman and use it for the new baby.  It was just so convenient, and now I guess I'll be changing DD on the floor!

  • DD's changing pad is on her dresser, and we still use it. She tries to roll over sometimes, but we keep a strong hand on her at all times.

This. Although if we are downstairs, we will just change him on the floor.

  • We still use ours and it works well for us.  But I look forward to the day when I don't have to use it because I could use the extra space!

  • Nope-still use it. His head is at the top and feet hang over the end. He's not a fan of the diaper change so I can at least strap him down to keep him from rolling over for 2 seconds while I try and distract him with something.

  • I use it to store all my cloth diapering stuff but I've changed kiddo on the floor since he was 5 or 6 months - he was way to wiggly to stay on the table.
