Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Did you know if you call the police on your neighbors...

and the neighbor asked who called the police, they could give your name or "a woman called" WTF????? This is why people hate to call the police! I have THE WORST BLOCK IN THE CITY and we have to find a place to live inthe summer months because it's infested with kids standing on the block! I HATE MY HOUSE NOW!

  • I hear ya! We have a bar across the street and it seemed like a great idea to buy a house there when we were still engaged but now with a LO is sucks, especially in the summer. Plus the neighborhood kids are not very well monitored by their parents and get into a lot of trouble. The language alone makes me cringe but I hear them talking about some pretty nasty stuff. I stay out of it because I don't want to be the mean lady on the block. I didn't know that about the police though. I have called a few times. I wonder if you could ask dipatch to keep it anonymous?

I don't offer my name when I call. But why are the police telling them a lady called, or your neighbor called? Thats nutz! They were called because your ass needs to be at home instead of making my property value go down! lol

You can....but it doesn't always work. We always ask to keep it ananymous which I think means the officer won't say anything, but when you look in the paper at police calls, your address and the complaint made will be listed. (At least that's been the case for us)

  • You can call & say you'd like to remain anonymous.  Our dept. also lets you send anonymous complaints through thier website.

  • I always assumed they had to keep it anonymous...that's kind of scary if you are on a bad block...I hope the cops crackdown to help get rid of the kids standing around...that sucks...
  • I'm with ya'll.

A few months ago we got some new neighbors sigh and they have these...kids noisy, rude, disrespectful, potty mouthed little creatures that on a regular day are on the street from after school (around 4) until 9, on a weekend they bring along their friends and the party really gets started.

I had to be the meanie on the block a few weekends ago when they crawled on top of my wall to throw stones at my dogs!

& Summer's a coming! I don't care if they know if I do call the police because if I don't call it for them I'm sure that they'll push all my buttons & somebody is going to have to call the police for me.

  • Sucks, doesn't it?  When I was pregnant with DS and we still lived in an apartment, our next door neighbor was BLASTING

  • Sucks, doesn't it?  When I was pregnant with DS and we still lived in an apartment, our next door neighbor was BLASTING music and wouldn't turn it down.  So, we called the cops.  Turns out the guy was extremely drunk and was outside our door yelling threats at us until 4 in the morning.

  • Oh, I was always smart enough never to give my name.  I'd block the call and would tell them that I was calling from "down the street".  That way it's not known that the neighbor above them was the one calling on their parties.

Thank god I don't live there anymore.

  • I dunno why the heck they would say whose calling- I dont think they do it here though.
