Infertility

::::rachael07 & Rosie:::::

Hey Ladies. I read your post about wanting to lose 40lbs by october. Me too! I need to lose more than that, but I think it would be totally unrealistic in that time frame. 40 may even be too hard for me! But today when I was getting dressed, I got totally sick of it. So, I want to join you guys.

I need help with eating during the day. Morning and lunch. I need healthy (and inexcpensive) ideas. I am drinking my 33oz bottle of smart water now, so that's a start.  Can you also share your exercise schedule and what you are going to do?

  • Do you have a facebook page?

    We are starting the 30 Day Shred together on Monday, and I started the Couch to 5k last night. Could only do about 20 minutes of it though.

    I've been substituting my cravings for sweets with fruits. My cravings for ice cream with frozen grapes. Pasta with whole grains and adding alot of vegetables to main entrees to fill me up.

    PM if you have a facebook, thats how Rachael were communicating :)

  • Hey hun. Come join us! Like Rosie said, we decided last night that ew would do the 30 Day Shred starting Monday. The Couch to 5k is something that I am still comtemplating so I coould start that with you as well. As for snacking...my breakfasts vary. Sometimes I have low fat yogurt by itself, sometimes a bagel, oatmeal with bananas, and cereal every now and then. I really do notice that I snack less if I eat breakfast. Sometimes I use the yogurt as my mid morning snack. When I do that, it's usually plain vanilla yog and then I cut up a granny smith apple to dip it in. I'm also watching serving size very closely. For healthier snacks I have dried fruit like cranberries and for a little chocolate fix, Sun Sweets choc covered plums. They're really good. I also count out the exact number of wheat thins I need. Get some of the snack sized baggies and pre-count a bunch of things. That way it takes less time and you are less likely to be like "ugh i dont feel like counting out 30 pistachios so I'll just grab the bag of chips." There is also 100 cal bags of microwavable popcorn you could get for afternoon/evening snacks. I have both the kettle corn and slight butter flavor and even if I eat the whole half size bag...I don't feel guilty.

    For lunch I have found a few Smart Ones and Lean Cuisines that I like. I try to not eat out lunch if at all possible. When it comes to prepackaged foods, I really watch the sodium and carb count. Some things have like 700+ grams of sodium. Low fat string cheese is a great addition to lunch items. I love making a sundried tomato turkey sandwich. I never make my sandwiches with two pieces of bread. I use one and fold it in half and it's never white bread. For me the key is to not deprive myself of the bad thingsI just have to remember that I can't have everything I want to eat everyday.

  • Sorry, I'm butting in... I must have missed the post you guys are talking about yesterday... been busy at work with a new girl I'm teaching!  I need to get back into something to hold me accountable.  Rosie, we were doing well for the first few days of the 30DS until I got sick and April hurt her foot and we fell apart.  I need to restart it.  I'm friends with you Rosie... can you PM me on there with a group or whatever you guys are doing?  Thanks!
