it turns out that my friend with the CBEFM has PCOS. she's sad but trying to stay positive. I remember seeing recommendations for some good forums/support websites a long time ago - can someone please send those again? and if you have any stories of your own or words of wisdom you'd be willing share briefly, i'm sure that would be appreciated.
Re: pcos support/resources
I lurked the PCOS boards soulcysters (?) when my original OB said I had PCOS. I remember another nestie saying she didn't like it - I didn't look for too long so I don't have an opinion one way or another but just wanted to mention its existence.
I know there is a PCOS check in on the trouble ttc board here.
I just never felt that I fit in on any of those boards because I sought alternative (naturopathic and traditional chinese medicine) treatment and didn't really fine any others like me.
If she is in Seattle and interested in TCM I highly recommend Dr. S. Chan in the international district, she has specific IF training and works (worked?) in consort with one of the reproductive medicine clinics...
ah, yes, soulcysters was the one I was thinking of. I didn't remember someone saying they didn't like it though, so that's good to know. unfortunately, she's in Dallas, or I'd definitely pass along the name of your doc! Thanks

Thanks so much for the offer Jaime! I did ask her, and she's happy with her OB - her OB also works closely with an RE, so hopefully she's in good hands. thanks though!
