  My mw said lower back pain. She thought LO was and gave me a couple exercises to do.

  I couldn't tell with DD#1 and neither could the nurse...and the OB only noticed when she showed up for me to push.  She was able to reach up there and help her turn.  Thank God for epidurals.

  In my childbirth class the instructor mentioned that the baby can and often does turn during labor...there's usually an easy path that results in a anterior birth, but in some cases baby turns the other way resulting in traveling sunny-side up.

  The exercises you can are variation of hands on knees as the back of the head is heavier thus encouraging gravity to pull it towards the front.

  Pretty sure our baby girl was sunny side up a couple days ago.  Our doula said if you feel the kicks only in the top part of your belly, that's a sign that baby is probably posterior.  If you're feeling kicks on your right side, that's a good sign that the baby is in the correct position.  as long as the baby is still high up though, there's time to turn.

  If your belly is not very hard.  If it's hard that means his spine is facing up, if it's "soft" he is facing up.
