I specifically asked my RE about yoga, and she said it's fine... and my RE is one who doesn't want me doing any strenuous activity while stimming, but she said yoga and upper body workouts are fine.
I have heard that it can be a good thing to do while ttc, but I don't have any knowledge about during IVF. You might want to ask hopefulmommy. I believe she is a yoga teacher? Or at least very educated in yoga.
If you can manage to do it without bending forward deeply or doing any twists, or at least altering them to be open twists, and no hot yoga.
I pass on the yoga classes when stimming. I really haven't found a good answer to this situation, though I got a few prenatal yoga videos from the library that I need to review.
I asked about just avoiding twists and things, and they didn't even want me doing something like downward dog (b/c gravity could pull the ovaries out of position). I did some gentle leg stretches and upper arm stuff, but it was really pretty limited.
Thanks ladies. I just started yoga so I'm not well versed in it, but there does seem to be alot of twists and bening forward with my instructor. I just got a permanent spot in one of her classes, but now I'm wondering if I should keep it.
Thanks Sally - I'll see if she replies, if not, I'll PM her and ask. I haven't told the instructor either, maybe she has suggestions because she always has them for injuries and other things.

That's a constant in the classes I have gone to with my instructor. Hmmm I think I'll have to tell her and see what she says and also ask the dr.
yoga is fine there are just certain positions you should avoid - things like inversions and anything that creates too much belly heat (i.e. ashtanga, bikram). GL!
Re: Another one: Yoga and treatments
This. All the twisting involved w/ yoga when you're ovaries are huge while stimming for IVF is a risk for torsion.
