All that talk about contractions, mucous plugs, inductions....
Yikes... I really like pretending like that stuff isn't going to happen. The thought of that happening in 10ish weeks is freaking me out. We really need to think of a pain free way of getting these babies out of us.

And Depends.
Apparently, the trend now is to wear Depends post-partum instead of using pads. I doez not getz it.

Then when you get to 3rd tri you start looking ahead at 0-3 - then you get to hear about colic and engorgement and PPD.... it never stops being scary.
But at least then you have a baby
Really do. 2nd tri is all about the fun stuff... showers, nurseries, first kicks, and big u/s's.... then 3rd tri slaps you with placentas, contractions, cervix issues... and so much more. It's scary...

Just keep in mind that your child may be the one calling the shots on what kind of birth. I had natural childbirth, not by choice. But it is so worth it. And I kept in mind that after 28 weeks, there was a higher chance of survival for the baby. Even though it was scary to have my baby at 31 weeks, I had more confidence knowing that the NICU at my hospital would be able to take good care of my baby. And they have. He is doing really good at this point. For me, 3rd tri was an accomplishment, and the finale was finally getting to hold my beautiful baby.
I really like being a mom--changing diapers, pumping breastmilk--it is so natural--it brings out a softer more beautiful side of you if let it.
