Fail :-/ + 37w appointment

So, Fri/Sat I had to do a 24 hr urine catch because of the BP issues that I was having at the end of the last week. When I went into my doc today, I was told that I failed the test.... my number was 310 and it's supposed to be under 300 (I think?). I also had protein in my urine during my dip today.

My doc checked me (ouch) and I was 1.5cm dialated and about 25% effaced... so not closed up like Fort Knox, but not a ton of progress yet.

She also asked if I was having any other symptoms... I told her about the headaches that I have been having, but said that I hadn't had any today.

Plan of action... another 24 hr urine test (yuck!) and call if I get another headache... if I fail the urine again or I get another headache, it's straight to an induction for me.

YIKES! Obviously not how I expected things to go..... but of course I just need to do what's best for me and baby.

Why call b/c of the headaches, just curious how it relates. I have had non-stop headaches for 5 weeks straight now, but I am only 14 weeks

oh hun, i know what it's like dealing with bp issues! i'm really glad you made it to 37 weeks. is your dr putting you on bed rest or anything in the meantime?

Headaches can be a sign that you have high bp and are not tolerating it very well.

Oh yeah... I forgot to mention that she told me no more work. Not really bed rest, just "relaxing". Sorta a pain in that I literally just got all my paperwork cleared for the 1/2 time they put me on last week. Now I have to do it all over again.

Wow that sucks!! Well if you do fail at least you get to meet your LO super soon. But like you said you just gotta do what is best for you and your LO!

Thanks, ladies. I appreciate the positive vibes. The one good thing about all of this is that LO is a super active champ.... keeping mommy as relaxed as possible.
