1st Trimester

If this isn't your first - best investment?

This will be our second baby and I would say by far our best investment when we got PG with DD was buying the leather Lazy Boy rocker we have in our living room. I swear I live in that chair with my daughter...I thought DH was crazy when he suggested spending nearly $1,000 on a rocking chair but holy cow I love that thing.

What's the best investment you made?

  • Same.  A good, comfy rocker-recliner in the nursery.
  • Loading the player...
  • There were lots of good things but my Moby wrap.  My MIL gave me a big eye roll but I swear, DD loved it, made grocery shopping so easy.

I do admit I want an Ergo this time though.

  • It's a toss up- my favorite store bought thing is a baby rocking chair that has a kick stand.  You can use it newborn through like 30 or more lbs.  It was a great thing to lay him in even right away, lots of use.  The other thing is the cloth diapers. Those are home made and definitely worth it! I have loved CDing, and feel so great that I made them myself!

  • So far: CD's and Halo swaddle wraps. Love both of them!!
  • angel care monitor. Though wasn't a HUGE investment.

But that thing gave me such peace of mind...and I know sometimes a false peace of mind, but I had a nicu baby, please we had very tramutic birth and this thing helped sooooo much. I actually got sleep!!!

  • Big investments - our glider and our Britax carseat.

Medium investment - the Ergo carrier.

Britax Marathon-DD will be in this for a very long time because she is such a peanut.

  • Burp rags and and an Ergo
  • Our changing table... We got the Amy Coe Sanford Changing Table, and I love it. I am only 5' 2.5", so I don't have to bend over to change diapers. I can't wait to be changing the new babies diapers and have my DD using her big girl potty!
  • Ditto the rocker/recliner, and the fisher price rock n play sleeper. Best. Bassinet. Ever.

  • I actually ended up getting it as a gift from friends but my Bob jogging stroller.  It is fabulous!  I am a runner so obviously great for that, but we have used it exclusively since DS was about 5 months.  It is so much easierto push, DS is so comfy in it, just love it!

And so glad to hear so many thumbs up for the Ergo.  I am thinking of getting one this time since the Baby Bjorn was too uncomfy for me.  Glad to hear so many liked it!

  • We didn't buy any big/expensive things.  No rocker/glider, swing, bassinet, etc.  I would have to say the two things I got the most use out of and loved were my Boppy and Aden + Anais muslin swaddling blankets.  I always give the blankets as shower gifts and everyone loves them.  I will be buying another Boppy for the next baby, and most likely some winter warmth A + A blankets for this next LO.
