Center for Reproductive Medicine

Hi!

I'm curious whether anyone has been to Dr. Devane/ Dr. Loy at CRM?  We are going through preliminary testing now and gearing up for IVF in the next month or two.  If anyone has any experiences with this group that they'd like to share, I'd greatly appreciate it!

  • I go to see Dr. Loy there and really like it.  A few things I recommend is, when in doubt leave a message for your doctors nurse.  For instance, you will have to go in on very specific days and my nurse told me she would squeeze me in and to leave a message on her voicemail if the regular scheduler couldn't fit me in.  I know quite a few people who go there and liked it.  Good luck!

  • I owe everything to Dr. Devane. He is a little quirky but knows his stuff. We have him and his team to thank for our miracle son. Love them!!! GL to you.

BTW, my son was conceived thru IVF after 5 failed IUIs.

  • I have been looking for a place like this in the area! Thanks for the post:) I am going to look into them further.
  • I'm new to the practice and see Dr. Patel.  She has been great so far.  Only problem is that all signs are pointing to MFI - and they do not specialize in that so my husband has to find care elsewhere.
  • Thanks for your replies, everyone!

safire1029....When you say that they don't specialize in MFI, do you mean b/c he has to see an outside urologist?  We're in this situation, too.

  • I've been going there since about February and really like it! The nurses are really sweet and will answer all your questions, I've had tons of ultrasounds there and got my HSG done there as well. The only frustrating thing is that you can't call and just talk to a nurse if you have a question - you have to leave a message and then wait for them to call you back. That is frustrating when you have to take medicine that day and have questions and need to hear back from them that day. Besides that, I've really liked my experience with them. Good luck!
  • I see Dr.DeVane as well and as pp said he's a bit quirky but he really does have a lot of experience in his field.  I just had lap surgery at the end of April which went very well and I was told by many ppl in the hospital that I was in the best hands.  For now I'm still hoping for that BFP. I decided to try naturally for a few cycles but if that doesn't work I'll definitely be seeing Dr. DeVane again.  GL!
  • My husband and I went to CRM between February and when we conceived in late May after IUIs. Our doctor was Dr. Patel. She is amazing. I love her bedside manner and calm assuredness. We had a few problems with the office staff in both locations with misscheduled appointments. Dr. Patel ended up not charging us for an ultrasound because of it, and after my husband spoke to the office manager it didn't happen again.

I am just amazed that our 2 year TTC journey is finally over. I wish you the best of luck. The doctors and nurses at CRM are great. Trust the process and relax as much as you can.

  • I have been a patient at CRM for many years. Since about May of 2000 for some non-infertility related issues that required a reproductive endocrinologist, thru the years for follow-up and most recently in 2009 until June of this year. I have seen all of the doctors in the practice but my primary doctor has been Dr. Jaffe. In September of 2009 we had a failed IUI followed by a cancelled IUI in October. We immediately moved to IVF with our first cycle in December/January that was unsuccessful. We took a break for a couple months and began our second cycle in April/May. I am very happy to say that I am now 14 weeks pregnant and we owe it all to Dr. Jaffe and the wonderful staff at CRM. Everyone in this office is top-notch. They are very professional and friendly. The treatment that we received was outstanding and we always felt like they really cared about us. I had a lot of things that went awry during the months we were in treatment and they always got me thru it. I never felt like just another number. I really felt like they cared. I have nothing but good things to say about everyone at this practice. They always returned calls promptly whenever I left messages and were always very helpful.  We owe everything to Dr. Jaffe and her nurses, especially Lauren who saw me thru some very rough times. I am sure you and your husband will love it just as much as we did. Good Luck!!!
