So I am a baby wearing addict, but up until now I mainly use the Moby or Bjorn. I've had a hotsling, but Graham hated the newborn hold cause his head was hidden. Anyway i tried the front carry today, and he loved it. So for those who have one, when / how do you use your hotsling (for errands, around the house etc.)? It doesn't seem as secure as the Moby so I was just curious.

We use it when we are out and about. We bottle feed so I find it really easy to do the front carry and feed on the move.

I use it all the time. DS doesn't like front carry at all anymore, and has never liked the bjorn, so I wear him on my hip and he loves it. When he was comfortable in the front carry, I felt he was quite secure- I've never had a Moby though, so not sure how that would compare. I don't feel he's as secure on my hip- but I hang onto him with one arm anyhow and use the sling more to bear his weight. He's a big boy for a 3.5 month old at over 16 lbs so any bit of help is great

I keep my hotsling in my diaper bag incase Kennedy wants out of her stroller. My Moby is my pirmary carrier. It is way more comfortable. My DD is getting heavy!

we just ventured outside for the first time w/ the hotsling to take the dog for a walk. DD really seemed to like the front carry, although my only complaint is that I can't see her face to tell if she has spit up.

DD is 5 months, so we now use the front carry and hip/side carry. I'll use it around the house, while I'm tidying up, doing laundry etc. Outside the house, I put her in when grocery shopping, running errands, etc. For longer walks (like with the dog), I'll use the Bjorn.
