I used it with DS when he was in his infant carseat and found it very useful. I just plopped him in wearing his regular inside clothes, zipped it up and headed on out the door.

I received one as a gift but returned it. The only time DS would be outside was just while going from the car to inside somewhere so we didn't really have any use for it. I just draped his blanket on the carrier while we went from car to inside.

Same here. DS was born in mid-November, and the winters up here can be brutal. The heavy Bundle Me was perfect for taking DS out of the house. DS has always been a warm baby, so I preferred to have him dressed in regular clothes and covered by a warm blanket vs. dressing him in heavy layers. When we would get inside the store or wherever we were going, I would just unzip and take off the the top layer of the Bundle Me.
I didn't like that the bundle me went between DD and the car seat so i had an etsy seller make me one of those fleece things with the elastic that went over the top of the infant seat. I don't find the seller I bought mine from on there anymore but here is a similar item.
I would highly recommend something like the bundle me for the stroller. We got ours from One Step Ahead. I don't see it on thier website now (it is a seasonl item) but it is basically a large bundle me for the stroller.

I liked it. C was born in Dec in Toronto and we did go outside - it was useful on the carseat, esp when we were using the carseat on the stroller with the adaptor.

We were given one. I dont think I would pay $40 for one in the store. And I have heard you ar enot supposed to put anything under the baby in the carseat. We used ours for a short amount of time however. I liked it but its not worth the money in my opinion.
DS was a late January baby in Indiana. He went home from the hospital in it, if I remember right. We had an ice storm while in the hospital and it was very windy and frigid when we went home. We did get ours for free though. I don't think I would have shelled out the cash for one.
It is a little controversial as far as safety goes b/c of not wanting padding to interfere w/ car seat straps. We got one of the car seat covers that fits over the top of the car seat and zips up. Has an elastic edge and a little face hole for baby. Can't remember hte brand but we loved it. We would put DD in her car seat in her normal clothes, with our without a blanket, snap that over the top, and if needed could put an additional blanket over it no problem. Was very easy, very useful, flexible for use from fall to winter to spring (not too hot), and no safety concerns.
DD was born in early Dec and we got one for my shower - we used it all the time - loved it. Made taking her out so much easier IMO. Could dress her in regular clothes and a sweater and she wasn't overheated when we went inside (like a store).
We had one and the police officer who did our carseat inspection told us they really don't recommend them as it is unsafe to have anything between the carseat and the baby. We returned it and got the kind with the elastic band that just goes over the top of the carrier (similar to the Etsy one linked above). I loved that it kept her protected from the weather, covered her face without being too suffocating, and I didn't have to worry about it interfering with the carseat.

ditto -- our hospital carseat safety class said not to use them, i'd rather be safe than sorry. the elastic zip over one worked great, even in wind and ice or snow.
remember you arent outside long, just running to a heated car, store or house... my friend's DD was always so sweaty in the car in her BundleMe - even with the top open, that fabric is too warm, imo
i loved it. its really nice when its windy out, you just cover the baby with that and pull the top part of the infant carrier down and you dont have to worry it blowing off like a blanket. ds was always so comfy and cozy in it.
Ditto the serious carseat safety implications--- it can materially change the safety of your LO's carseat. We used a blanket instead once I learned that- easy peasy.
I found a product at Walmart which was essentially the same thing recently marked down to $5!! I went ahead and bought the thing. The whole blanket flying off the carrier just won't work for me come winter when I'll be needing my eyes focused on my DD!

I agree! We used it DS's first winter in his infant carseat.

Re: Winter mommas come in...
I loved it. MH hated it. I thought it was cozy and easier to use (than coats/blankets). MH thought it made her too hot.

This exactly!! So useful IMHO!
I loved ours. It was especially great for the windy days.
