Wondering about spelling?

We don't know the sex of the baby yet, but already have both names picked out. For a boy, we are going with Landen Michael.

My question is, should we go with "Landen" as spelled above, or "Landon"? The second is the more common spelling but I really like it with the E instead. But my fiance worries that if we spell it the other way people would misspell it all the time. What do you think?

BTW, the girl name we have picked is Erin Paige.

The correct spelling is Landon and people will spell it Landon. If you want to correct people for their whole lives, go for it.

I've had a few students with the name Landon. I like it with the o much bettter than with an e.

My theory may not make sense to everyone but I like it better with the E as I think if someone glances at it quickly he might get called London because of the O.
