help! He's so gassy and screaming!

I'm pretty sure its gas since he's kicking his legs, and he'll be calm one minute and screaming the next and I can hear the rumbling in his stomach.  I try kicking his legs back for him and I've tried rubbing his belly and I give him mylicon drops and nothing seems to help.

I haven't tried gripe water yet, I plan to buy some when I'm out today, but any tips to help me help him now?

  • Crap...mine was like this yesterday. All I could really do was "help" her poop by pushing her legs into her chest and rubbing her belly. It went away within 20 minutes. It's been happening every other day for a week now, so I think I'm going to switch formula? Did you try placing him in a warm bath yet? The warm water helps relax the tummy.

  • A nice warm bath usually helps my DS when he's gassy and upset.
  • Putting mine on their belly gets the farts right out for me

  • We had this with DD.  What helped us was to lay her down on her stomach on a heating pad (on low, of course) so she got the benefit of the warmth and being on her stomach.  It was the only way we could get her to sleep sometimes.
