Honestly, I hate it. I know a really weird guy (creepy) and his last name was Landry, so A. I think of him, and B. I don't think of a girl when I see Landry.

I personally like it, I think it goes well with your other kids names too. Maybe if its not "girly" enough you could do Leandry? Pronounced Lee-andry. I knew a girl named that when I was younger.
I don't care for it. It seems pretty masculine (reminding me of Tom Landry) and is awfully close to the word laundry. I think you could find something prettier.
I'm in the minority, but I actually think it's kind of cute. I was friends with a girl in high school whose last name was Landry, which was what a lot of people called her. She had one of the sweetest, bubbliest personalities & therefore I have a good connotation for the name!
You know how on "King of the Hill" everything was named after famous Texans, like the dog was Lady Bird and the school was Tom Landy Middle School? I'd think the poor kid's parents were serious, hard-core Texans who decorate with longhorns.
i like it... but that is coming from a girl with a boyish name already. I always loved it growing up having a name that set me apart... there are so many jessica's, emily's and ashley's out there...
good for you for thinking outside the box.
(fyi: I do like the names jessica, emily and ashley...please don't let that comment offend anyone- completely not my intentions.

This is hilarious, b/c I am a Texan, and a HUGE sports fan!
I have Landry on my girl list in honor of Tom Landry, the greatest football coach the Dallas Cowboys have ever had!
I also have Nolan on my boy list in honor of Nolan Ryan, the greatest pitcher the Texas Rangers have ever had! (Nolan also just happens to be my dad's middle name)
I use to have Star on my middle names list after the Dallas Stars until I joined the Bump and realized it's a stripper name. (Thanks for saving me on that one, ladies!)
And although the name Maverick is not really my style, I wouldn't put it past anyone in my group of friends to name their son this, after the Dallas Mavericks.
And I do agree with what you said, about how it would look like the parents are serious hardcore Texans, etc... but that's okay for me b/c it's totally true! haha (although I don't decorate with Longhorns, I have plenty of friends who do, so that doesn't offend me at all)
I don't know if people in other states realize this, but here in Texas, everyone is extremely proud to be a Texan. The Texas flag waves as high as the US flag, and we like it that way. And no one here in Texas would think twice if they heard these names on any child.
All this being said, I do realize that the OP is from Arizona, and I'm not really sure where she got Landry.
Sorry, it's awful. However, I have seen the name Leandra or Leanne for a girl,. so maybe that could be an option for you.
I worked with a Leeandra, and while the name is a little out there for me, I grew to love it. I like it better than Landry, for all the reasons PP mentioned.

I don't like it. Landry (and a similar name, Landrieu) is a pretty common last name here in Louisiana, and in Texas as well.
I see you're in Arizona... To analogize, you naming a child Landry would be kind of like me (a Louisianian) naming a child Ramirez, or some other last name common in Arizona. Most surnames are not meant to become first names. IMO, this is one of those. Keep this one as a last name, please.
Also, as others have said, it does look and sound similar to laundry, and it's not feminine at all.

PS: I usually don't like last names for girls
I'm an 8th generation Texan and I would absolutely side-eye anybody who named their child Star or Maverick. Not a fan of Landry, although I don't side-eye it (unless you state you're naming your little girl after a football coach!). I do like Nolan, but actually the Nolan Ryan connotation drives us away from it (although he was an Astro for a LOT longer than he was a Ranger, and my DH went to high school with his sons.)
Of course, I also wouldn't name my child Austin or Dallas or Houston.
Re: WDYT of the name "Landry" for a girl??
I don't like it, and I think you will get a lot of eye rolls with that one.

I wanted to use it if we had a girl, but this was my H's response.
Ack...and I thought there was nothing worse then Landry.
This is a boy name to me and I usually love boy names for girls. There's just something about this one that doesn't work for me.
I know someone who used this for a girl. Ick I don't care for it.

I like it...
It was on my (very) long list, although I would never actually use it just bc it's too close to my oldest DD's name for me. But it fits our style.
ETA: I have a Brynn, who was almost a Brynlee (my MN is Lee, as is my dad's and MIL's), so I'm betting our style is similar!
