Hot Air Balloon Rides?

I just got a call from our local PBS station, and was told that my family won the hot air balloon ride with some of the kids characters this Sunday at Conner Prarie. I am super excited for my munchkins and excited to get to go as well. Then I thought, can I do that at 35 weeks? Granted it is a tethered at like 350 feet up but I didn't know if that has anything to do with anything really. I will call my OB in the morning to check for sure, but has anyone out there ever done this?

  • I would ask for sure - but, really hope it's fine...I'd hate to miss something like that!!
  • I'm sure it will be fine ... it's not like they're traveling super fast! What a cool experience!
  • I did a hot air balloon ride while early pregnant with my first. It is possible for the landing to be a little rough and I needed help in and out without a belly (mine was small and the basket didn't have a door), but the ride itself is awesome and smooth. I would do it again, even in my third trimester....as long as my doc said ok for me.
  • I Googled the situation and never came up with a real, actual explanation why pregnant women aren?t allowed to take rides, but I did come up with about 16,000 ballooning websites that Strictly Prohibited Pregnant Passengers.
