How was the birth? Did you lose you MP before labor? If so, how long before labor did you lose it?
Birth was 18 hour process! I was due to be induced that Wednesday, but my water broke early Sunday morning (she was 2 weeks early already). I couldnt have an epidural because my platelets were too low. And I had to start pitocin 6 hours into labor due to my water breaking early and only being 4cm dilated. All in all, it was a long hard birth but I bounced back REALLY FAST. I was feeling great minutes after birth.
My MP I didn't lose before my water broke. It came in bits and pieces during labor, and I never got an official "bloody" show. The morning I went into labor I took a quick shower and saw only a tiny fleck of blood. :P
how long did it take for her stump to fall off? It came off 2 days ago, so about a week.
are you planning on taking her swimming? Yes, this fourth of July I am going to.
what is your favorite part of being a mom? Cuddling her, and right now she's so dependant on me.. its a nice feeling! And even though she's a newborn I think she already totally knows mommy.
was it easy to adjust to late night feedings? Yes and no.. can be frusterating when your tired, and you learn quick to rest anytime baby naps so you can get in some sleep too.
if you are breastfeeding are you also offering a soother/passi? I've offered it during her fussy moments, but she doesn't really want it. My pedi said offering a pacci to a BF baby is totally fine, and shouldn't really cause nipple confusion. Plus, it might help reduce SIDs.
anything you forgot to purchase before baby was born that you needed?
AS SOON as I left hospital, we went to Babies R Us because I wanted a belly support ASAP. I had a long labor and my abdomen was SOOORE and felt like it was going to fall out with every bump DH hit on the drive! So I bought that and put it on ASAP and it really helped soothe my tummy soreness! Also we are already needing new diapers, I had one large pack (80 ct) - so I would've bought more! (You go thru so many at first, esp when baby pees and poops on your hand before you have the diaper totally on LOL)
Are you breastfeeding? If so how bad does it really hurt like they say?
How often does your LO get up through the night?
Yes, and somewhat. I cant believe some moms say it never hurts. When baby has a bad latch, yes it hurts, but even with a good latch I still felt pressure and just general "ache". But I saw a LC to improve her latch, and learn how to encourage a more open mouth, and then it all improved. But the first few days they were sore, and then with engorgement made it a little worse for a few days. I slept with gel ice packs on my chest, used soothies, and expressed colostrum the first few days to soothe them.
She wakes up usually every 2.5-3 hours at night. If we get to bed at midnight, she is usually needing to be fed by 3am. And then around 6am, etc.
Have you got DH helping with nighttime changings? Or are you taking a on/off sleep schedule?
Not yet. Only because I BF, and usually anytime she does wake up at night, I offer her my breast so DH can't help much there! DH will help more with changings when he can actually give a bottle at night.
Re: Bored momma from 0-3, questions?

I plan on offering a bottle at 4 weeks I think.
