Thought this Progesterone was supposed to HELP the spotting?? Looks like we could be cycle twins this month:) My doc wanted me to take for CD 14-28. I didn't record all my spotting but it basically started 2 days after O...brown scant with wipe, and today started with some red. Lovely.

Kdodge's words to me last cycle were, "Just because you are spotting doesn't mean the progesterone isn't working." I have 2 more cycles prescribed to me. I'm considering calling and leaving a message with my OB after this cycle just asking if she is concerned that I am still spotting as much as or more than before. If not, then I will finish out the last 2 cycles of prometrium and then it will be about time for my annual anyway.

Hope that's true:) Thing is my level was normal 7DPO w/o the Prometrium, so I had really hoped it would help the spotting. We shall see. Good luck in your next few months- my OB gave me a 3 mo supply with 3 refills.

So, you've not been taking it for the same number of days each cycle? I've counted 10, 12, and now 14?
My doc told me 14 days each cycle starting once I've O'd.
What your doc said sounds right...but mine said to take from CD 14-28 for some reason. This is only my second cycle taking it.
The first cycle I got the Rx filled after that and just stopped when AF came (prob wrong to do). This cycle I didn't even have a + OPK at day 14 so I didn't start it then as he rec'd but plan on taking for 14 days total.
Everywhere I had read you should wait until 3 DPO so my doc's advice is based on old school O on CD 14 assumption. I will probably start on 3DPO next month. Sorry if that was confusing!
No, not confusing at all. I understand. My doc originally said to start taking it when I got a +OPK and to take it for 14 days. Even though she knows I chart my temps, she says there are so many variables that could affect the temps that she would rather trust the OPK.
If you look at last cycle, you will see that I started taking it before O was confirmed on my chart. I worried the whole 2ww that my temp spike was only because of the progesterone, so this cycle, I waited until 3dpo. I will still take it for the 14 days, even though that will make my LP 17 or 18 days.
Good to know I'm not the only one kind of playing around with this. Also good to hear your doc rec'd to start taking day of +OPK...that'what I did this month and prob will continue that. I usually start spotting 2-3 DPO so this is my effort to try and reduce that:)
