We need to order our stroller. I told Mr. I was going to go ahead and place the order. He told me it was too soon and he didn't want it here taking up room for the next month or so. I ask when he though I should order it. He said, "I think about a week before your due date will be good".

My DH was the same way---he did not understand why I wanted to get the car seat and PNP set up and ready about 3 weeks out----ummm hello??!!

Not taking his side or anything, but will you really use it all that much in the first month or so? You're not going to want to take her in public for at least a couple of weeks.

I would want to order it now, too, though.

we are getting stuff in little by little and stashing it in the nursery. we are going to wait for the big stuff/stuff a newborn doesnt need right away until later on.

I took the boys to the mall as soon as the pedi ok'ed it. I had horrible cabin fever. They were less than 2 weeks old. Had they not been in the NICU for a week, I probably would have taken them out earlier

That's not necessarily true. We took our newborn out in public from the very beginning, and he was a preemie. It was springtime, and didn't feel the need to stay inside. We did keep him covered up and away from people touching him.

It's summer and you will probably use it a lot to go on walks. So I wouldn't want to wait that long either!

Because we were released at home with bili lights, we had to make countless trips to the doctor's office/hospital to get checked out when she was just days old. We took her to Target for the first time following an appointment at 8 days old. Also if the weather is super nice she could go on a short walk with LO---assuming she feels up to it!!

Our infant car seat goes into the stroller, so I will need it from pretty much day one. I won't be waiting to take her out in public unless she has a medical condition that won't allow me to. I know I won't use it "that" much in the beginning but to possibly have no stroller seems just crazy to me. I am not going to carry around her infant seat and there will times when she is sleeping and I don't want to take her out of the infant seat and put her in the sling/wrap.
