Hey ladies,
I'm not sure if you remember but after my 20 week U/S I had to go back for a follow up to get better view of LO's heart. I went in and it was a long appt. as the baby was moving a TON... the tech seemed to struggle with the movements and kept moving the doppler (?) around and around to get the right angle. At the end of the appt. she gave me the OK to go after she got the approval on the photos. At yesterday's check up my Dr. read over the result sheet and the notes said "vitals appear normal". She then suggested going to BC Woman's Hosp. in the city for another follow up. To me, she didn't appear concerned but wanted to do this as a pre-caution. I love having a pro-active Dr. and always said I'd rather be in the know than waved through as being fine. She said the notes just weren't clear enough for her ("appear normal"). Anyway, I just got the call and they have booked me an appt. for tomorrow, apparently there was a cancellation so I got in super fast. At first I felt fine as my Dr. seemed to be doing this strictly as a just in case. However I now feel worried about this and hope our little guy is okay. He's really active and the HB has been great throughout the pregnancy but with me being who I am I'm feeling concerned. Thanks for listening.
Re: Sigh... vibes please.
sending good vibes. fingers crossed that it's just to make sure everything is fine.
Send your LO good vibes too! Tell him you love him a ton and hope he is doing well in there!

I am thinking this way as well.
Thanks everyone, sometimes it's nice to just let it out and not to co-workers, etc.
I love Hawaii!

Aw, Tara, try not to stress. I am sure all is well with your little guy.
If, by a very slim chance they do find "something" then you can worry, but still, medical technology is amazing these days and even babies with heart defects, after some time in the hospital, are healthy and happy kids. I have a sister and a nephew who both had heart defects at birth, both underwent surgery and both are healthy, strong, vibrant teens now! And FWIW, their problems were not detected until they were born...

Lots of positive vibes to you! It's great that you have a proactive doctor though.
