Anyone have experience with this? We are about to move into new base housing and from the pictures, it is bright white inside. I am wondering if I'd be allowed to paint an accent wall or two. We will be there for four years (very likely to actually happen). What if the housing is privatized? Different rules? I also may staple fabric to the walls if painting is not possible or difficult. Any other ideas for warming up those bright white walls? I love decorating so this is a total priority to me. Thank you.

Re: Painting base housing?
We live in privatized base housing and are allowed to paint as long as:
A) We paint it back to the original color before we move out (or hire someone else to do it)
Good luck with decorating your new home!!
Sometimes if it's a brand new house, they won't let you paint over the white for at least 6 months to a year (well, here anyways.)
But, rules to painting are simply if you paint it, you have to have it back to white before you move out.
