I feel so lost with all of this ... any thoughts on this list? It's not a definite "to buy" or "to register for" list, but rather a list of stuff I think we may need. If you see anything you think is a waste -- or something you don't see that you think is a 'must' -- please let me know !

Looks good to me. I was so lost when I did my registry for baby #1.
Are you registering for two different cribs? What's a convertible crib? Is it like a pack n play?
Why 2 cribs and 2 mattresses?
A bassinette, and a pnp = overkill unless you have a huge home.
A dresser, changer, and bookshelf will take up a ton of room and probably aren't needed, but if you have the space, go for it.
Changing pad covers? - at least 2
People will probably already buy hooded towels, onesies, blankets, and hats - I didn't put any on my registry.
A crib that can convert to a toddler/day bed and then to a head board/foot board for a full size bed.
Your list looks good. I don't see why you need two cribs and matresses. I'm a first time mom so I dont really know what all you need, I'm lost too! But I started my registry at BRU last weekend and they provide you with a list of suggestions. Of course they have EVERYTHING on their list because they want you to buy/register for a lot so they have the business, lol.

I don't need two cribs or two mattresses ---- DH and I were just looking through BRU and writing down ideas of things we liked. That's why I said it's not a I-must-buy-all-of-this list.
