7-8 weekers: day time naps?

Wondering how many hours your LO nap during the day around this age.  My DD fights naps but I could tell she is overly tired and gets cranky.  I feel like all day I'll spend hours putting her down for naps (rocking, walking, bouncing, etc.) and then she pops back up 15 minutes later.  She is probably averaging 2-3 hours during the daytime.  I thought they are suppose to sleep more around this age.  BTW, i make sure she is in deep sleep before putting her down and swaddling her.

    He cat naps alot througout the day. a half an hour here a half an hour there, but he does take two good naps. One is 1-1.5 hours and the other is 1.5-2.5 hours (these are taken in his bassinet).

    DS takes two 2-2 1/2 hour naps a day so 4 to 5 hours total.  He is a pretty easy baby to get to sleep, though.  Maybe you should try swaddling your DD before she is asleep.  When DS is getting put down for a nap, I change him, then swaddle him while he is still awake.  Then I rock him and shush him while he is swaddled.  It never takes me more than 10-15 minutes to get him to sleep and then he is normally out for the whole 2 hours without a problem.

    Typically, my LO will wake up in the morning eat, diaper change and then go back to sleep for 2-3 hours.  Then she will do the same thing two more times.  She basically sleeps until 3 or 4 pm if I let her. Her swing puts her out like a light.  After 3 or 4 she will be up for an hour or so and take short cat naps in between.  If we go out to run errands or whatnot, she gets very thrown off-doesn't sleep nearly as much and gets very cranky.

     This is pretty much my baby's exact schedule too.

    your lo's nap habits are exactly the same as my lo's.

    DS usually takes a one and a half or two hour nap in the morning or around noon, then another one and a half or two hour nap in the afternoon.  He also catnaps here and there throughout the day and evening.
