I was BFed at a time that formula was the thing to do. My parents couldn't afford to FF plus she was an L&D nurse so she knew it was the right thing for her.
I was BF. I was born a month premature and my mom is an early childhood specialist so she was doing all the research on kangaroo care and breastfeeding and how important they are especially for preemies

FF after a month. I still wasn't up to birth weight at my 1 month appoint and was apparently having starvation stools, whatever that means. My sister was BF slightly longer than I was and my mom said she made it 4 months with my brother.
BF in 78. My mom also BF my brother in 72. She said it was difficult because there was so little support back then, but she was a nurse and knew that it was impt. I think it was around a year, if not more for me.

I was BF, but I'm not sure for how long. I asked my mom the other day if she faced opposition for BF in the 70s and she said she didn't. Her mom BF three kids and so she has support there. My older sister was FF. My mom is convinced that she was given a shot in the hosipital to dry up her milk without asking for it. She said it was so popular to FF back then ('75) that they assumed everyone wanted the shot.

My friend told me that happened to her mom, with both her and her brother (mid to late 70's).
I was BF for 13 months.

FF. I'm also a '70s baby, but my mom says it was actually pressure from the LLL that convinced her to FF. She doesn't like to be talked into anything. I have to admit that I'm pretty annoyed that that was her reasoning for not BFing at all.

I am a Formula survivor.
(Kidding. But yes, I was a healthy, happy FF baby
)
Same here, and that was in the late 70s, when popular opinion favored formula...
