As long as you've been doing it you're fine. I played soccer with my first until about 25 weeks
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind." - Kurt Vonnegut

It is awesome for you to keep it up! Don't stop, unless you absolutly can't do it. It will make for such a happier and healthier pregnancy. Any doctor will tell you to keep it up, to the best of your ability.

Anything you were doing before getting pregnant is fine to continue.

Good luck! I post a "workout check in" every night during the week, so look out for that.

  • Definitely keep doing what you're doing, but just listen to your body.  I've been amazed at how much I've had to slow down, but I'm still getting out for several runs a week, and I feel sooo much better when I do.

I highly recommend checking out the book Exercising Through Your Pregnancy -- it will give you the lowdown.

  • I slowed my runs down to incline walks but I've been cramping ever since a couple of hours after last night's workout.  It's probably not related but I'm laying low until they go away.  You just have to listen to your body.

I sure hope we're playing a different sport b/c the soccer I play includes slide tackling, elbowing, pushing, jumping, falling, and trapping the ball with whichever body part (including my abdomen) that happens to be most convenient.

  • If you feel good, then stick with it. I had to slow down the running though because I started to get winded much more easily. Now I'm doing more elliptical mixed in with jogging. Exercise helps a lot.
