I get all my gardening suggestions from people who grow weed

My container veggie garden on the side of the house is still alive (yay!) but nothing is producing (boo!) and I'm convinced it's because that side of the house gets 4 hours of sunlight max. I've been doing some research, and the light is still hitting the side of the house, but the fence is shading the plants. Vice versa in the mornings. My brilliant plan, after much research? Mylar on the fence and plywood with flat white paint against the side of the house, to keep the light reflecting. 

I just realized all the gardening sources I got those ideas from are hydroponic and um...alternative plant sites. I have like a billion of them bookmarked. Oops.

    I've got zucchini, cucumber, beans, peas, roma and beefsteak tomatoes, carrots, 4 kinds of lettuce, a small herb garden, and some strawberries.

     

    ETA: not an "herb" garden, just you know, regular herbs. Like for cooking, not baking Stick out tongue

    I'm trying to grow peas.  I tried eggplant, but they all fell over and died.  I don't know if it's going very well for me haha.

    my peas and beans are looking kinda questionable. I put in some climbing cages for them all and they're just not taking. I think my zucchini are going to end up going the way of your eggplant, but we'll see.

    All I want is to be able to eat some type of vegetable I've grown this summer.  It's turning out to be much harder than I thought.

    Can you move the stuff to a sunnier spot?  Vegetables need a lot of sunlight to really produce. 

    My tomatoes now have leaf spot because of all the rain we have had.  But I did notice a small tomato that just started developing!  I hope that I can control the fungus enough to get a decent amount of tomatoes.  I hate fungus.
