A friend passed on some of her daughters clothes to us when Aubrey was born. We have used all the ones that we are able to now size wise and season wise. I emailed her asking her what she wanted me to do with them and she said I could pass them on to anyone else that might need them, or keep them or whatever..she doesn't want them back.
I have been packing up Aubrey's outgrown and out of season clothes, and I'll keep a few of the borrowed outfits. I don't know anyone who needs them, and we are having a garage sale in July. Now I am not going to sell them, because I don't think that would be right. But do you think it would be okay to put them out with a sign that says Free on them?
Re: Would this be okay?
Do you have a temporary emergency services place in your area? A place where people go when they need immediate help?
In Tuscaloosa we have a place like this that is always taking clothes, food items, etc.
I would consider donating them to an organization like this or maybe even the Salvation Army so that you know they are going to a good cause. You could even call your church and see if they know of a family in need who has a baby girl you could give the clothes to. That way, they are going to someone who really, really needs them.

I could take some of the girly things off your hands
Right now I've only inherited boy things, which doesn't bug me but LaRayne will probably need a few dresses...
And you could always donate them to shelters. They go through baby clothes like mad house.
Go with your gut. You'll know what to do.
